MISS A. MILLER BECOMES BRIDE OF SUNBURY MAN
Wedding Solemnized in Trinity Episcopal Church Saturday Evening.
TO LIVE IN SUNBURY
Miss Alverna Miller, popular Shamokin girl, and Charles F. Bostian, Sunbury were married in the Trinity Episcopal church, Shamokin, at 8:30 Saturday evening.
The Rev. Robert T. McCutchen pastor, performed the ceremony before many friends and relatives of the couple.
The bride was dressed in a brick chiffon gown and wore a beautiful corsage of tea roses. Hilda McCracken, the bridesmaid, wore a blue ensemble and carried a beautiful bouquet of pink roses. Harold Bostain, a brother of the bridegroom was the best man. He and the bridegroom wore conventional attire.
The bride was given away in marriage by her mother.
Mrs. Bostian is the popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Miller, 1207 Nelson street, and is employed as a floor lady at a local shirt factory. Mr. Bostian is well known in Sunbury and is employed by the Susquehanna silk mill company.
Following the wedding the newlyweds were tendered a reception at the home of the bride's parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Bostian will make their home in Sunbury in the near future.

Mrs. Verna Bostian age 40 Succumbs
Mrs. Verna Bostian wife of Charles F. Bostian,1232 Susquehanna Ave. died at 6:45 a.m. today in Community Hospital where she had been a patient for 5 weeks, she was 40.
She was born in Shamokin the daughter of the late George Miller and Sara Langley Miller and was a resident of Sunbury for the past 15 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by four children, Richard J. Bostian U.S. Navy. Charles Bostain, Gary Lee Bostian and Sherry Bostian all at home, four brothers, Robert Miller and Joseph Miller, Selingsgrove R.D. Rueben Miller U.S. Army and George Miller New Jersey and one sister Mrs. Hazel Bixler Philadephia.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Dornsife Funeral home with Rev. Joseph M. Jansen pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating internment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park at Stonington. Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday evening 7 to 9 o'clock.
